VML Insurance Programs would like to recognize Greg Smithson, Hanover County Risk Manager as an individual who represents the spirit of our risk management philosophy.
Greg has been instrumental in the success of VML's Safety Coordinator Workshops in which he has become a regular presenter. He has volunteered his time as a guest speaker on numerous occasions sharing his experiences as a risk manager, explaining how he has developed Hanover County 's approach to managing risk. Each time he has presented this component of the program the member attendees have gained valuable insight to help them with their efforts towards implementing or improving their safety own program. The evaluation sheets completed by workshop attendees overwhelmingly agree with this observation and almost always indicate this as one of the most valuable components of the workshop.
Greg has also volunteered his advice with members, often on a one-on-one basis to those looking for additional help or ideas.
We are aware that Greg would not be able to help out in such a way if it were not for the support of the County Administration. So with that, VML Insurance Programs would like to thank them for their ongoing support to the program and its members as well.
